Collections Manager

HornBill has a client seeking a Collections Manager in Merrimack, New Hampshire (NH). Responsibilities:

• Working under minimal supervision, manages the activity of the federal collections department's collection analysts, including but not limited to staffing, mentoring, training, account assignment, etc.
• Oversees the federal collections process including escalation procedures, successful collection tactics assisting with difficult customers
• Acts as the liaison between collections department and other internal departments (particularly sales)
• Procures and develops various reporting to assist management in assessing the quality of the AR and to target accounts and identify potential write-offs
• Assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
• WAWF and portal billing experience
• Working knowledge of an Enterprise software system
• Understanding of fraud detection, leasing, and the purchasing, sales and shipping process
• Leadership skills with ability to manage and develop a team
• Customer oriented with ability to listen to and anticipate needs of the customer
• Strong understanding of GSA and other federal agency and sub-contractor compliancy and contracts
• Developing relationships and coordinating with sales department
