Position Summary
The Cloud Billing & Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of cloud financial operations, including billing, invoicing, financial process development, cost auditing, and monthly financial reviews. This role serves as a key liaison between technical teams, vendors, and Finance to ensure accurate billing, cost transparency, and effective financial governance across cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cloud billing and invoicing operations across all supported cloud platforms and services.
- Develop, document, and maintain standardized financial and operational processes related to cloud consumption and cost management.
- Audit cloud invoices and billing statements to validate accuracy, identify discrepancies, and ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
- Create and distribute internal billing reports and customer-facing invoices as required.
- Partner with Finance teams to support month-end close activities, accruals, forecasting, and financial reconciliation processes.
- Conduct end-of-month financial reviews to validate spending trends, budget alignment, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
- Maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and audit readiness for cloud-related expenditures.
- Assist leadership with financial reporting, budget planning, and cloud cost management strategies.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within billing and invoicing workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience with cloud billing, financial operations, invoicing, or IT financial management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working with Finance, procurement, or vendor management processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring month-end deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, or Google.
- Familiarity with IT financial management or FinOps practices.
- Experience with ERP, procurement, or invoice management systems.
