Technical Expertise & Quality
• Oversee Financial Reporting to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
• Review financial reports for completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide relevant financial information to clients and team
members.
• Assist in developing and implementing efficient and effective accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain current and relevant knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Manage accounting processes by planning and delegating tasks and assignments to the appropriate
team members effectively.
• Oversee General Ledger preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation by ensuring accurate journal
entries and ledger postings.
• Review and analyze ledger accounts for discrepancies or errors.
• Coordinate and assist in preparation for year-end closing processes.
• Continuously evaluate accounting workflows to identify and address quality and accuracy gaps.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings.
• Serve as a liaison to auditors and tax professionals to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts to assist in the development of financial
forecasts and budgets.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy.

• Serve as a positive representative of YHB by demonstrating the ability to communicate with others
effectively and respectfully in both written and spoken correspondence and to act in a professional
manner.
• Ensure complete confidentiality of all client and firm information.
• Maintain open and frequent communication with accounting team regarding the status of open
tasks, assistance needed, and/or anticipated roadblocks or challenges.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of client’s needs and expectations by drawing on prior
experience, as well as through peer inquiry, observation, and independent research.
• Uphold YHB’s firmwide quality standards in all client communications, reports, and deliverables.
• Understand the importance of meeting client expectations, deadlines, as well as the importance of
flexibility to assist the team to meet these expectations and deadlines.
Productivity & Business Development
• Follow YHB’s time reporting requirements including timely entry of weekly time for payroll and billing
purposes.
• Take responsibility and ownership of work to meet goals and performance expectations.
• Ability to manage available time to ensure assigned work is completed within budgeted timeframes
while also dedicating time to coaching and developing less experienced Associates.
• Maintain a general working knowledge of YHB’s service capabilities and develop the ability to
articulate this information to clients or prospective clients.
• Establish a network of client and business contacts and seek ways to increase YHB visibility among
peers or by becoming involved in a professional or community organization.
Continuous Learning & Professional Development
• Actively participate in professional development activities during period of non-billable time such
as continuing education, training others, firm recruiting initiatives, firm committees, and/or firm
marketing and business development.
• Complete assigned training courses or learning tracks within the appropriate timeframe and seek
opportunities to further develop industry-specific expertise.
• Demonstrate an increasing ability to set challenging goals and to work through challenging
assignments, seeking guidance and mentorship from in-charge staff as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to generate creative and innovative solutions and to confidently express
these ideas.
Leading & Developing Others
• Actively participates in the development of less experienced team members and the overall growth
of the firm through peer coaching, campus recruiting activities, internship/externship support, etc.
• Actively seek feedback and input from peers and leadership as a resource for personal development
and information sharing.
• Ability to maintain a positive working relationships with firm leadership, clients, and other team
members.
• Possesses an understanding of the importance of cooperation and teamwork in working toward the
collective success of the team and the firm.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Client Accountants and Specialists on completed work quality,
necessary adjustments, and best practices.
Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field, or equal combination of education and
work experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes, procedures, and principles.
• Prior experience in a Professional Services Firm (preferred)
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (certification beneficial).
