Client Accountant / Financial Accountant

Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Financial Accountant (Capital Markets) will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the financial operations of a portfolio of entities across the Netherlands and as well potentially other EMEA jurisdictions for CSC, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial control, and compliance with all financial regulations. This role involves collaborating with the accounting team, preparing financial statements and guide the audits on these financial statements. The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced accountant or auditor with a high level of technical understanding and a track record of providing excellent service in the face of tight reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Developing and creating balance sheets, profit-and-loss accounts and (audited) annual reports for the SPV’s
- Ensure compliance with Dutch/local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
- Performing and analysing waterfall and derivatives/swap calculations
- Initiate payments through various payment platforms and ensure timely execution.
- Regulatory Reporting:
- Production of statutory accounts for all entities.
- Ensure all other regulatory reporting is timely submitted
Accounting Operations:
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for all entities.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial laws and guidelines.
Team Leadership:
Working closely with other Financial Account Managers and Company Lawyers as well as with internal departments, external accountants, law firms, tax advisors
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment for the accounting team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with other departments and teams across Finance and the Business, to support overall business objectives.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
System and Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the financial systems are up-to-date and effectively utilized.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance or accounting or Control/Auditing.
- Ideally Big 4 / Top 60 Practice trained prior to industry or relevant experience in structured finance.
- progressive accounting/finance experience, including people management experience.
- Technically astute with Dutch GAAP Statutory Reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret large data sets.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A flexible self-starter who can adapt to organizational changes.
