Position Summary

The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Chief Procurement Officer at its Washington, DC office.  The Chief Procurement Officer will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for the direction, strategic oversight, and ongoing management of the PCAOB’s procurement and travel departments.  The Chief Procurement Officer will play a key role in partnering with the PCAOB Division and Office leaders to align procurement priorities with enterprise strategy and cost optimization and deliver innovative and impactful acquisition strategies to enable the PCAOB to meet its mission effectively and efficiently.

The Chief Procurement Officer will be expected to lead the end-to-end transformation and modernization of the existing procurement function into a strategic, data-driven business partner for the PCAOB by implementing best practices with a focus on vendor oversight and third party risk, establishing KPIs, enhancing market analysis and business intelligence, and establishing a business partner model for effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management within the PCAOB. The Chief Procurement Officer will also maintain responsibility for establishing and maintaining organization-wide policies and procedures related to a centralized acquisition function.

The role will also oversee the travel and travel security programs for all PCAOB Board Members and staff by managing and overseeing the travel and business expense program, the travel security program, and recommending approval of exceptions to the travel and business expense reimbursement policy, as appropriate.
