Position Summary-FT- Chief Financial Officer- Closes June 30, 2026

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Senior Pastor (SP), the CFO is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating treasury operations, investments and investment strategy, funding capitalization strategy, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial modeling.
The CFO will possess in-depth knowledge of non-profit financial accounting standards, strategic planning and forecasting models, and complex financing and investment structures.
The CFO must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace. In addition to reporting to the CEO/SP, the CFO will partner with their executive leadership peers and the Zion Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategies across the organization. The CFO will possess excellent leadership, collaboration and influence given their financial oversight of the various business units of the organization.

All new team members at Zion Church complete a 90-day probationary period. During this time, supervisors assess performance, job readiness, and alignment with Zion’s employment standards, while team members also determine whether the role is a good fit. At the end of the 90 days, performance will be reviewed. Based on management’s judgment, employment may continue as regular status, the probationary period may be extended, or employment may be ended. Completion of the probationary period does not alter the team member’s at-will employment status.
