- Financial Management: Execute the company’s financial planning, budgeting and reporting process along with supporting analysis which highlights and quantifies opportunities and challenges that need addressed.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Ensure the company maintains a strong capital structure and manages liquidity effectively.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to meet the company’s financial objectives.
- Stakeholder communication: Present financial information and strategies to stakeholders, including ownership team and cross functional leaders. Build relationships with external partners such as lenders, external accountant and lawyer.
- Monthly executive reporting and analysis (inclusive of cashflow, operating & financial metrics, variance analysis, margin walks, wage and OT analysis)
- Monthly WIP analysis and adjustments
- Monthly intercompany eliminations
- OEM reporting oversite and support
- Quarterly board & bank reporting
- Quarterly covenant calculation, reporting and forecasting
- Annual financial statement, select annual analysis and note preparation, and overall review & approval
- Annual budgeting process
- Investment valuations and payback analysis
- Customer deal modeling
- Incentive & commission analysis and program creation
- Various analysis and KPI metric creation as needed
- Organizational and cost reduction planning
- Investigation and creation and/or execution of ERP reports or processes to support finance and operations
- Assist with system, processes, and/or control implementation planning and testing
- Annual and periodic review and provision of developmental feedback to direct reports and subordinates
- Develop employee training documentation and train/cross-train team members and cross functional employees with duties impacting accounting.
- Education: A university degree in finance, accounting or business administration is required. MPA and/or CPA preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years accounting/finance experience, preferably in a company with annual revenues exceeding $50MM and multiple legal entities.
- Strong critical thinking and analysis skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills that enable analysis, reporting, modeling and process improvement.
- Experience in working across functions to solve problems and streamline processes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to break down and communicate data effectively to a broad range of audiences.
- Proficiency in financial softwares and reporting tools.
