Job Description:
We are partnering with a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing company in its search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership across a global organization, directing financial strategy, operations, governance, and risk management to support profitable growth and long-term sustainability. As a key member of the executive leadership team and trusted advisor to the President and ownership group, this individual will drive financial insight, operational performance, and strategic decision-making across the enterprise. This role requires deep manufacturing finance expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead effectively in a multi-generational family business with international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the President and executive leadership team, influencing enterprise-wide strategy, growth initiatives, and major investment decisions.
- Develop and execute the organization's global financial strategy, aligning capital allocation, profitability objectives, and long-term business goals.
- Provide executive oversight of financial operations across U.S., Mexico, and China facilities, ensuring strong internal controls, operational consistency, and financial transparency.
- Lead enterprise planning processes, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario modeling, and long-range strategic planning.
- Drive financial performance by delivering actionable insights on margins, manufacturing costs, operational efficiencies, working capital, and return on investment.
- Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt management, and capital structure strategies to support organizational growth.
- Lead risk management, compliance, and corporate governance initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements.
- Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and other strategic opportunities through rigorous financial analysis and due diligence.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing global finance and accounting organization while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Partner with ownership to preserve the company’s financial strength, values, and legacy while positioning the business for future growth and succession.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in manufacturing required.
- Proven experience supporting multi-site and international operations required.
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership to drive strategic growth, operational performance, and organizational transformation.
- Experience working in or alongside a family-owned or closely held business is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
