Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Traction, serves as the senior financial leader for Nidec's Traction business segment, responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities in support of profitable growth, operational performance, and short‑ to mid‑term (1–3 year) strategy execution. This role partners closely with the Traction President and leadership team to shape business strategy, guide investments, and deliver financial results in alignment with the Motion Platform and broader Motion & Energy (MOEN) objectives.

The CFO is accountable for financial planning and analysis, accounting and control, reporting, governance, and risk management across the Traction business' global operations, including North America, China, India, and Europe. Operating within a matrixed and federated finance structure, this role ensures strong financial discipline, transparency, and compliance while serving as the primary financial liaison between the Traction business segment, Motion Platform, and MOEN finance leadership.
