Summary

Reporting to and in close partnership with the chief executive officer (CEO), the chief financial officer (CFO) will establish SourcePoint’s financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy. They will lead all administration and planning of SourcePoint’s financial and business operations. As an integral member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will work closely with motivated and engaged finance and audit committees, as well as other board committees. The CFO must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous, deadline-oriented workplace while managing a team of 12 across finance, human resources (HR), facilities, quality/compliance, risk management, and information technology (IT).

The CFO will be an experienced and ethical leader with 5-10 years of broad finance experience, ideally beginning in audit, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to executive leadership. They will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting), HR, facilities, and IT for a medium to large nonprofit, with multiple funding sources and program areas.

It is recognized that in any organization, particularly a small one, it is necessary to assume new responsibilities to ensure smooth continuity of operations. Not only is the Chief Financial Officer required to wear many hats, but it is expected that this person will be familiar with the work of others to the point of being able to fill in temporarily. It is also anticipated that other organizational needs will emerge and be assigned to this position.
