Job description
Key Accountabilities (including activities)
Lead all financial activities of the Global Freight Forwarding Line of Business, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, cash flow, and return-on-investment objectives.
Serve as a strategic business partner to the EVP GFF and Executive Leadership Team, supporting the development and execution of the global business strategy.
Own the global financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management.
Provide financial leadership and challenge to regional and functional leadership teams to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Drive business performance through financial analysis, KPI monitoring, margin management, pricing governance, productivity initiatives, and cost optimization programs.
Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting to the GEODIS Group Executive Committee and Board-level stakeholders.
Lead capital allocation decisions and evaluate strategic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and transformation initiatives.
Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and risk management across all GFF operations.
Oversee cash flow management and working capital performance, ensuring effective liquidity and resource utilization.
Sponsor finance transformation initiatives, including process standardization, automation, digitalization, and data analytics capabilities.
Develop and lead a high-performing global finance organization, fostering talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability across regions.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Group Finance, auditors and regulatory bodies.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Global Freight Forwarding (GFF) is a key member of the GFF Executive Leadership Team and serves as the principal strategic and financial advisor to the EVP of GFF.
Responsible for the overall financial leadership, performance, governance, and value creation of the Global Freight Forwarding Line of Business, the role oversees financial planning and analysis, business performance management, accounting, treasury coordination, risk management, capital allocation, and strategic initiatives.
Working closely with business leaders across all regions and functions, the position drives profitable growth through financial insight, commercial decision support, optimized resource allocation, and a strong focus on sustainable value creation for the GEODIS Group.
The role also leads the global finance organization for GFF, ensuring the implementation of best-in-class financial processes, controls, systems, and governance across the business while fostering a high-performance finance culture globally.
Applicants profile:
• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Significant experience as CFO or Senior Finance Executive in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or similarly complex international businesses.
• Proven experience leading global, multicultural finance organizations.
• Strong background in FP&A, business partnering, performance management, and strategic finance.
• Demonstrated experience supporting growth, transformation, acquisitions, and post-merger integration.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• MBA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• English and French required – written and verbally
