Chief Financial Officer has, at a minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Fiscal Management or related field. 5 years' experience in accounting, analysis, business management, and supervision. Must have strong leadership and team-building skills, ability to multitask, and work under pressure. Must have good cash management, reporting, and budgeting skills. Be literate in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, accountability, and attention to detail.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required. Must have Non-Profit experience

Language Skills:

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals or technical procedures written in English, the ability to type reports and business correspondence in English, and the ability to effectively communicate in English and perform other required computer skills.

Description:

This position is responsible for all financial activities and projects at Florence Fuller Child Development Centers.

This position is also responsible for all financial communications with the Board of Directors. Attends all Board, Finance, and Executive Committee meetings. Ensures Board Members receive all financial information

Responsibilities:

Finance:

Present all financial statements and support schedules to the Chair of and Finance and Executive Committees and Board of Directors

Cash Management and Investments for Centers and Foundation:

Monitor cash position to ensure proper allocation of funds for daily operations

Reconcile the investment roll forward to the monthly investment statements.

Agency Audit:

Provide fiscal information, audit schedules, and footnotes to auditors

Coordinate information from departments as required by the auditors

Keep all departments organized and focused on audit requests to ensure timely completion

Budgets:

Prepare operating budget

Prepare program budgets

Financial Support for grants.

Insurance and Risk Management:

Monitor renewal packages and the Finance agreement for general liability, vehicle, and property

Obtain insurance certificates as needed by funders and for field trips

Workers Comp

Sales Tax return

Supervision:

Supervise Finance Associate (accounts payable, bank/credit card reconciliation, parent deposits, and inventory, and assign research as needed on various vendors)

Supervise Fiscal Analyst

Facilities Maintenance, coordinator, and maintenance

Information Technology

Program:

Provide all fiscal information requested by auditors/monitors

Renew the following licenses and funding sources:

Corporate annual report

Child Care License

State of FL Child Care Food Program

Various other renewals as they come due.

Fiscal compliance for food contract

Special Projects:

Phone systems, purchases and registration for vehicles, contracts for copy machines, Computer upgrades, cleaning, pest etc., contracts,
