Legacy Career Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of a respected credit union in Glendora, California.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced financial executive to step into a high-impact leadership role during a critical transition. The selected candidate will provide executive oversight of the finance function, lead the organization through an upcoming NCUA regulatory audit beginning September 8, and provide strategic financial leadership through the end of the year. This assignment also offers the potential to transition into a permanent executive position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for all finance and accounting operations.
- Lead the organization through the upcoming NCUA examination and related audit activities.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Direct asset/liability management (ALM), liquidity management, investments, and capital planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accounting, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with the executive leadership team and Board of Directors on strategic financial initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team while driving operational excellence.
- Identify financial risks and develop solutions that support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
- Executive leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, EVP Finance, SVP Finance, Controller, or comparable senior finance executive.
- Credit union experience strongly preferred; banking or other regulated financial institution experience may also be considered.
- Experience leading NCUA, FDIC, OCC, or other financial regulatory examinations and external audits.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, ALM, liquidity management, investments, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through organizational change while building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
