The Opportunity
The Chief Financial Officer is a core member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a trusted partner to the board and ownership group, lenders, and other strategic stakeholders. The CFO will help translate strategy into sustainable growth, stronger cash generation, and increased enterprise value.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an executive who can move comfortably between enterprise strategy and operational detail. The CFO will strengthen forecasting and financial visibility, protect liquidity, improve customer and product profitability, optimize working capital and inventory, advance systems and controls, and build a high-performing finance organization suited to a lean and evolving business.
What You Will Lead
Strategy and Board Partnership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, and board on enterprise performance, growth, profitability, capital allocation, risk, and value creation.
- Evaluate strategic transactions and partnerships, including business cases, due diligence, valuation, financing, negotiation, and integration planning.
Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting
- Lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, performance reporting, and investment evaluation.
- Establish a reliable operating cadence connecting sales, margin, operating expenses, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide concise, decision-ready reporting that identifies trends, risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, and required actions.
Treasury, Accounting, and Controls
- Direct treasury and liquidity management, including cash forecasting, revolving credit and asset-based lending facilities, covenant compliance, borrowing-base reporting, lender relationships, debt service, and capital structure.
- Oversee accounting, close, consolidation, financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under US GAAP.
- Maintain effective enterprise risk management across financial, operational, regulatory, tax, insurance, and other material exposures.
Commercial and Operational Partnership
- Partner with commercial leaders to improve pricing, gross-to-net revenue, customer and channel profitability, product and SKU economics, trade spending, advertising ROI, and returns on growth investments.
- Partner with supply chain and operations to improve inventory productivity, aged and excess inventory, freight and fulfillment economics, procurement decisions, cost-to-serve visibility, and working capital.
Finance Organization and Systems
- Advance finance systems, data, processes, reporting, automation, and controls, including optimization of NetSuite and related planning and business intelligence tools.
- Develop the finance organization, clarify accountability, strengthen succession and technical capability, and foster partnership, urgency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including 5+ years as a CFO, divisional CFO, VP of Finance, or in a comparable senior finance role.
- Demonstrated ownership of FP&A, accounting, treasury, cash flow, financial reporting, audit, tax, controls, and finance team leadership.
- Experience leading a performance-driven organization through growth, transformation, restructuring, or value creation.
- Strong command of working capital, inventory economics, cash forecasting, credit facilities, lender reporting, and covenant management.
- Ability to translate financial and operating data into clear decisions, priorities, and accountability across the business.
- Experience improving financial systems, reporting, processes, and controls in a lean or evolving environment.
- Executive-level communication and relationship skills, including experience engaging boards, investors or sponsors, lenders, auditors, and senior operating leaders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at both strategic and detailed levels.
Preferred Experience
- MBA, other relevant graduate degree, or CPA.
- Consumer products, furniture, e-commerce, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, retail supply chain, or another inventory-intensive business.
- Multi-channel business models involving marketplaces, mass retail, B2B distribution, dealers, resellers, and direct-to-business sales.
- Global supply chains and logistics, including cross-border tax and tariff matters.
- Institutional or private equity ownership environments.
- NetSuite or comparable ERP transformation, planning tools, business intelligence, automation, and practical applications of AI in finance and accounting.
- Acquisition, integration, banking, or debt capital markets experience.

- Decision-ready reporting for the CEO, board, lenders, and operating leaders.
- A capable and accountable finance team with a prioritized roadmap for systems, process, data, and automation improvements.
