POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer serves as the organization’s senior financial executive and provides both strategic and hands-on leadership across all finance functions for FPCSN. The CFO operates as both strategic advisor and operational finance leader, overseeing accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle, grants management, audit readiness, treasury, and financial strategy. The CFO partners closely with the Chief Executive Officer, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors to ensure fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, sustainable growth, and strong stewardship of organizational resources in support of the health center’s mission. This role blends the responsibilities often distributed among a Controller, Director of Finance, and CFO in larger organizations.

The CFO serves as a member of the Family Practice and Counseling Services Network (FPCSN) Executive Team, participating in network-wide strategy development, planning, and decision-making. In conjunction with the CEO and COO, the CFO provides strategic and operational leadership. The CFO provides direction in the development and implementation of the financial management, budgeting, accounting and revenue cycle functions of FPCSN, develops and executes both short and long-term financial management plans/strategies which will enable the FPCSN to maximize the potential of its financial resources to meet changes in healthcare economics and achieve organizational objectives and ensure fiscal responsibility. The CFO ensures full compliance with all Federal, State and Local legislation relative to finance and billing functions of FQHC service delivery and GAAP reporting. The CFO works in collaboration leaders in all levels of the organization to improve financial quality, define annual financial quality goals, adopt key performance indicators, set benchmarks and make strategic recommendations to direct and lead fiscal and revenue functions.
