The Bay Family of Companies, a privately held organization headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking an accomplished financial executive to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer following the retirement of the current CFO. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting, along with significant leadership experience in manufacturing environments and a demonstrated ability to guide complex, multi-location operations.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the President and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership and serves as a trusted advisor to the President, Board of Directors, and business leaders. The CFO is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, including financial strategy, accounting, forecasting, treasury, tax, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. This executive partners closely with leadership across the organization to drive profitable growth, optimize capital allocation, strengthen financial performance, and support the creation of long-term enterprise value.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Serve as a strategic business partner and active member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Board of Directors, President, and Senior Leadership Team
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the various divisions of the company
- Provide insight and recommendations regarding both short-term and long-term growth plans of the company
- Select and engage consultants and auditors as required
- Lead the organization’s banking, treasury, and business insurance relationships
- Build organizational capability, mentor leaders, and create a high-performing finance team
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
- Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion
- Provide financial leadership and analysis to support key strategic and operational decisions
- Analyze and present monthly financial results, including divisional profitability, trends, risks, and recommended actions
- Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives and new service offerings
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, data analytics, reporting, ERP optimization, and strategic partnership with IT
- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
- Oversee the timely preparation and filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns
- Evaluate potential acquisitions and lead financial due diligence, transaction support, and integration planning

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, and/or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within a multi-location manufacturing organization
- Experience leading domestic and international acquisitions, including due diligence and integration activities
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and lead through complexity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally
