Job Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, guiding its financial strategy, planning, and maintaining its fiscal stability. They will collaborate with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

Compliance

  1. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions, including tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  2. Promote and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards for all employees.
  3. Implement accounting and financial policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the company’s financial health is preserved. 

Financial Management

  1. Oversee the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, reporting processes, and financial software.
  2. Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
  3. Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
  4. Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners. 

Strategic Planning

  1. Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets.
  2. Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization regarding long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
  3. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
  4. Manage financial planning and analysis department. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
  5. Provide financial input to new products, growth strategy and company improvements to communicate financial impact of projects.  

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting

  1. Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements (Forecast vs Budget) by division and weekly cashflows. 
  2. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
  3. Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.

Leadership

  1. Selects, develops, trains, and motivates staff to ensure attainment of short- and long-term growth objectives.
  2. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  3. Identifies Opportunities for Improving financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems, as well as long term cash flow goals.
  4. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.
  5. Lead the financial and accounting record keeping ensuring data is readily available and stored to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting of Finance Required
  2. Extensive experience in senior financial roles, with a proven track record of success. 
  3. Professional Accreditation (CPA, CFA, etc.) preferred. 
  4. Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management and forecasting methods
  5. Strong leadership and organizational skills
  6. Excellent communication and Interpersonal Skills
  7. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
