Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Chief Auditor Executive (Internal Auditor Chief Executive 1) position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Administration Division. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work.  Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. 

In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

This Is What You Need To Qualify


Five years of experience managing an auditing program or leading a team engaged in professional-level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission; OR

A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as business or public administration, finance, economics, computer science, accounting, or a field specific to the Agency's mission AND two years of experience managing an auditing program or leading a team engaged in professional-level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission; OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience
