LIFE Senior Services is seeking an experienced, strategic, and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior financial leader who wants to make a meaningful impact while helping guide the financial strategy and sustainability of one of Oklahoma's leading nonprofit organizations serving older adults.
As CFO, you will oversee all financial operations for LIFE Senior Services and the LIFE PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program, providing strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reimbursement, compliance, risk management, and organizational growth initiatives.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Leadership Team while helping ensure the long-term financial health of the organization and advancing our mission of serving seniors and their families.
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute organizational financial strategy.
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic planning and key business decisions.
- Evaluate financial opportunities, risks, investments, and growth initiatives.
- Support organizational development, operational improvements, and long-term sustainability planning.
- Collaborate with leadership and the Development team to support fundraising initiatives and resource development strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting team.
Financial Oversight
- Direct all accounting, finance, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial reporting functions.
- Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
- Monitor organizational cash flow, investments, banking relationships, and financial performance.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Present financial reports and recommendations to leadership and the Board of Directors.
Compliance & Regulatory Leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Oversee annual audits and financial compliance activities.
- Provide financial oversight for the LIFE PACE program, including participant-related expenses and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, OHCA, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
- Oversee reconciliation and reporting of United Way campaign contributions, allocations, and distributions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Ten (10) or more years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Five (5) or more years leading finance, accounting, or business operations teams.
- Experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience managing audits and regulatory financial compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, MHA, or other advanced financial or healthcare-related credential.
- Experience in nonprofit finance, healthcare finance, senior services, PACE, Medicare, Medicaid, or other highly regulated healthcare environments.
- Experience supporting organizational growth initiatives, major strategic projects, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Knowledge of grant management, United Way funding, donor-restricted funds, and fundraising revenue recognition.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors, Finance Committees, and Audit Committees.
