Job Title: Cash Application Specialist - HYBRID
Position Summary:
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for performing timely and accurate posting of cash receipts to Customer Accounts, as well as balancing the cash applied on a daily basis to the General Ledger. Additionally, the Cash Application Specialist contributes to enhancing workflow, performs proactive follow up and collaborates across teams to deliver timely resolution in solving payment discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate Payment Processing and Cash Application.
- Post cash receipts for all business units accurately and on time, including Lockbox, ACH, credit card and electronic check processing.
- Serve as liaison across teams to ensure all journal entries and adjustments for the Accounts Receivable portfolio are processed in a timely manner.
- Perform in depth research and provide proactive follow-through to initiate resolutions of unapplied cash items through close collaboration with Credit Reps, Sales Teams and the Customer.
Critical Success Factors:
- Post all cash receipts including electronic payments accurately and on time.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting.
- Identify root cause, and contribute to continuous process improvements by recommending and implementing solutions that enhance processing and reporting.
Requirements:
- Proven high level verbal, written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with a commitment to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to establishing priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using SAP in a professional business environment.
The expected hourly rate is 25.00-26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors allowed by law.
