The Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services team (“CMAAS”) is a high performing and fast growing practice within PwC Canada and Globally. The team is committed to supporting our clients through moments of exceptional change by providing accounting advice to our clients through acquisitions and divestitures, accounting change, restructuring and capital transactions (e.g., IPOs), and digital transformation projects.A career within CMAAS will provide you with the opportunity to be responsible for supporting our clients as they navigate some of their most complex financial reporting issues and transactions. You'll tackle client’s needs with a solution-oriented approach that creatively addresses complex accounting and reporting problems for high profile transactions, and you’ll have significant interaction with senior company management, bankers, lawyers and other advisers.

Being a member of the team supporting our clients through capital market transactions including IPO readiness, and other market transactions (i.e. BAR Reports, capital raising and pro forma financial statements).
Part of the team working with our clients through various accounting change projects including GAAP conversions in contemplation of a transaction, implementation of accounting policy changes, and new accounting standards.
Working with our Deals colleagues on the accounting implications of acquisitions and divestitures (i.e. buy side diligence, sell side diligence, valuations, business combinations, consolidation accounting etc.).
Responsible for preparing complex accounting calculations, quarterly/annual financial statements, and management reporting to drive insights.
Researching technical accounting matters and building your technical accounting knowledge to be applied in practical, client specific scenarios.
Preparing accounting whitepapers / diagnostic reports in a structured manner to help clients document their positions for presentation to their auditors and regulators.
Collaborate amongst the team to work flexibly and respond promptly to ad hoc requests by clients, taking ownership of your own portfolio of jobs and clients.
Focus on the details of the project as well as quality.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients while consistently demonstrating the firm’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Leverage a broad range of analytical tools, techniques, and GenAI solutions to identify insights from emerging business trends, drive value across client projects and internal initiatives, support project delivery, and foster strong client relationships.

Proven Technical Expertise: Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation and experience with technical accounting, corporate finance, advisory, or audit roles, with exposure to capital markets transactions, acquisitions/ divestitures, and IPO readiness.
Deep Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting standards, regulatory frameworks (IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE), and market practices governing IPOs, capital raisings, and other transactions.
Strategic Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex financial and business issues, assess risks holistically, and deliver insightful, pragmatic recommendations.
Excellent Communication Skills: Skilled at articulating complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences including senior leadership.
Leadership, Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor colleagues, and foster a collaborative, client-focused culture.

The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
