Position Summary
KMD Contracting Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our growing janitorial and facility services business. This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping professional looking for flexible, once-a-month accounting work.Responsibilities
- Reconcile business bank accounts and credit card statements
- Review and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Ensure invoices, payments, and expenses are properly recorded
- Review accounts receivable and accounts payable balances
- Assist with monthly financial reports and profit/loss statements
- Monitor payroll-related entries and expense tracking
- Identify discrepancies and notify management of concerns
- Maintain organized digital financial records
- Coordinate with management regarding budgeting and financial planning
- Prepare records for CPA or tax filing as needed
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Experience using QuickBooks Online preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with small businesses preferred
- Knowledge of payroll and basic accounting principles
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting service-based companies
- Familiarity with janitorial, construction, or facility service industries
- Understanding of invoicing and Net-30 billing environments
Compensation
Competitive monthly flat-rate or hourly compensation based on experience.Schedule
