Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to oversee financial record keeping for a cannabis operation based in Los Angeles. This role requires a professional who can confidently manage day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate understands and bookkeeping systems and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, payments)

• Maintain and update the general ledger

• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts

• Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies

• Manage accounts payable (processing invoices, vendor payments)

• Manage accounts receivable (invoicing clients, tracking incoming payments)

• Follow up on outstanding balances and collections

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters
• Identify and help resolve accounting discrepancies

• Comfortability with Quickbooks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)
• Bookkeeping or accounting certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
• Ability to manage payroll systems and financial reporting tools
• High level of accuracy and organizational skills
• Due to industry requirements, candidates must be 21 years or older.
