About the role
A stable, well-established product business in Brooklyn is looking for a Bookkeeper to join its finance team. The company has been around for 50 years, has about 150 employees, and has a great team and a strong, steady culture.
There are a lot of moving pieces here. You will own the day-to-day books, keep the accounting side running smoothly, and work directly with the CFO to solve problems together.
What you'll do
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the accounts payable person, acting as the AP manager.
- Handle payroll.
- Work closely with the CFO to identify issues and solve them together.
Who we're looking for
- 1 to 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Good people skills, comfortable working with a team and with senior leadership.
- Real interest in bookkeeping and in growing in the role.
