Job Summary
The Junior Bookkeeper reports directly to the Client Manager & works closely with the financial team to maintain financial records, prepare reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. This position also handles other office administration duties, as required.


Job Duties
Client Bookkeeping Support
• Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software, including accounts payable, accounts receivables and general ledger entries using import tools and rules to automate these processes


• Coordinate with client for payroll matters to ensure accurate processing of employee payroll, including tax withholdings and benefit deductions


• Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review


• Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits, ensuring all required documentation is available and accurate


• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations, including tax filings, GST, and other regulatory requirements.


• Perform bank/credit card reconciliations and reconcile other account balances as requested to source documents to ensure accuracy.


• Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and categorization.


• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, adjusting entries and financial reports.


• Maintain organized and accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes


Administrative
• Liase with clients and team members
• Provide additional administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications
• Secondary school completion; a degree or certification in accounting or finance is preferred.
• 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, specifically with QuickBooks Online.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office).
