We’re hiring a Part-Time Bookkeeper at APM Shipping Services in Deer Park, NY - someone with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations who brings accuracy and ownership to their work.

Position Details
- Part-time – 20 hours per week
- Compensation: $32 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do
- Record and categorize financial transactions accurately, with proper documentation
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tracking incoming funds
- Perform regular reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records
- Maintain the general ledger and support monthly close activities
- Assist with preparing financial reports, including P&L and balance sheet summaries
- Keep financial records organized and up to date, and help improve processes where needed
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, and account reconciliations
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet)
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfort handling sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
