About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing Canadian bridal and fashion group. The organization operates a multifaceted business model, including a wholesale bridal gown brand that designs and manufactures for global retailers, alongside a growing portfolio of company-owned bridal boutiques across Canada (including Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and an upcoming Montreal location).
Beyond the bridal sector, the company operates a diversity-focused modeling agency and is currently launching a direct-to-consumer summer dress brand. With a team of approximately 40 staff and annual revenues of $5–6M, the group is a high-volume business that sold over 3,500 dresses last year. They are now looking to strengthen their operational infrastructure by bringing in a meticulous and highly reliable professional to manage day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities.
About the Role
This is a hands-on operational bookkeeping role focused on keeping the company’s daily financial workflows running smoothly and accurately. The client is not looking for a senior accountant, but rather someone highly detail-oriented, dependable, process-driven, and committed to a long-term partnership.
The successful candidate will work closely with the founder and internal team to support invoicing, reconciliations, purchase order tracking, and general bookkeeping administration across the bridal and modeling businesses.
Role Overview
The role requires someone who can operate with a very low margin for error, maintain strong organization, and work efficiently within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The client highly values stability and retention, seeking a professional who enjoys being the "operational anchor" of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing & Payments: Create and manage daily invoices in QuickBooks; apply and reconcile incoming payments.
- Accounts Receivable: Send late payment reminders and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank feed reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Purchasing Support: Process purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate PO tracking within Google Sheets.
- Data Entry: Assign order numbers and ensure meticulous data entry across all systems.
- Multi-Entity Management: Support financial administration for the bridal, modeling, and D2C brands simultaneously.
- Documentation: Maintain organized digital records and operational documentation.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders during PST business hours to ensure consistency across all tasks.
