An established, locally owned restaurant is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business. This is an in-office position responsible for accounts payable, expense tracking, and vendor communications to help keep our operations running smoothly.
This is a full-time, hourly position.
Responsibilities

Process and pay vendor invoices accurately and on time
Communicate with restaurant vendors regarding invoices, payment status, account questions, and billing discrepancies
Track and categorize restaurant expenses and maintain accurate financial records
Review food, beverage, and operating invoices to ensure pricing and charges are accurate before payment
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment issues
Monitor accounts receivable and track incoming payments
Assist with bank deposits and payment tracking
Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation
Provide administrative and accounting support to ownership as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting required
Previous accounting experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time, hourly position
Starting at $25.00 per hour, with higher pay based on experience
