Job Description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are properly recorded
• Process accounts payable invoices and prepare vendor payments
• Manage accounts receivable functions including invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and enter journal entries into the accounting system
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation
• Process employee expense reimbursements and maintain related records
• Generate financial reports and assist with reporting requests
• Support budgeting and audit preparation activities as needed
• Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting inquiries
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with administrative accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience preferred
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations required
Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
