The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing invoices and will be using multiple portals for vendor invoicing. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, pays attention to details, and understands the billing process and procedures. This is a great opportunity to build or expand your career in billing and accounting. Position will be onsite based out of our office in Manchester, NH Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare billing invoices for services rendered or for delivery or shipment of goods

• Create invoices and credit memos for customers-billing on customer website

• Prepare various activities to support accounting and billing process

• Research and resolve billing issues

• Follow internal billing procedures for all tasks assigned

• Ensure billing deadlines are met

• Cross train with Accounts Receivable to create new accounts

• Work closely with AR on other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

• 2-3 years of billing, accounting, or related experience or relevant coursework (Finance, Accounting, Business)

• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; experience with Sage a plus

• Experience in the service and/or petroleum industry a plus

• Ability to build rapports with customers 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to work both independently and as a team member

• Quick learner who is capable/willing to learn new information in a high-volume

environment that is constantly changing

• Strong attention to detail
