Job Summary:
Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist responsible for accurate and timely submission of claims to government and commercial payers across multiple service lines. The ideal candidate will have experience with UB-04 and CMS-1500 billing, insurance verification, claims processing, denial management, and revenue cycle support.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit clean UB-04 and CMS-1500 claims
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Review billing codes, modifiers, and claim accuracy
• Monitor claim edit queues and resolve billing errors
• Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims
• Maintain accurate billing documentation and account notes
• Support month-end reporting and reconciliation activities
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and payer guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing experience
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, and revenue codes
• Experience with UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim formats
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Hospital or Critical Access Hospital billing experience preferred
• Experience with TruBridge or similar billing systems preferred
• CPB or CPC certification preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Multi-service line facility billing
• Swing bed, SNF, and outpatient billing experience
