Job Title: Billing Specialist

Reports to: Billing Manager

Pay: $20.00$22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Location: In person

Only candidates residing within a 40-mile radius of our [Sullivan, IL] office will be considered for this position due to logistical needs and the nature of the role.

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing billing operations, preparing and reviewing invoices, and ensuring accuracy in all billing activities. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve billing discrepancies while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy, along with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare, review, and process invoices accurately and on time

· Monitor accounts to ensure timely billing and payments

· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or errors

· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and billing processes

· Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing inquiries and account status through email and phone calls, including handling requests within the call queue

· Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

 

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Previous experience in billing, accounting, or a related role required

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
