Billing Specialist - Dental

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Biller to join our dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in medical billing, dental assisting, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in dental billing or in a dental office.
• Proficient in dental billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. 
• Familiarity with dental coding and insurance practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient service.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.

Responsibilities Include

• Accurately process dental claims and invoices for services rendered.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, obtaining necessary pre-authorizations when required.
• Maintain and update patient records to ensure accurate billing.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues, appeals, and denials.
• Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and account statements.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices and outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely payment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide accurate coding for procedures based on industry standards.
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and provide timely updates to management.
