What You’ll Do

As a Billing Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely client billing while serving as a trusted resource to attorneys and internal teams across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review, edit, and process client invoices with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
• Ensure billing narratives are clear, polished, and client-ready
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Partner closely with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and clients regarding billing matters
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
• Generate reports, maintain billing data, and support accounting processes using firm software systems
• Collaborate with accounting team members on special projects and process improvements
• Deliver exceptional internal customer service with responsiveness and professionalism

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of accounting or billing experience
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Aderant or similar billing/accounting systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong data entry and analytical skills; 10-key data entry

Work Environment

This is a hybrid opportunity within the Accounting Department, with a rotating in-office schedule and occasional onsite collaboration for team projects and initiatives.
