Automotive Accounting Clerk

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring vehicle sales are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting the fast-paced operations of one of the region’s leading automotive groups.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Bill all new and used vehicle deals and post transactions accurately into accounting.
• Receipt and process all monies received for new and used vehicle sales.
• Review and organize deal paperwork to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Process payoff checks for trade-ins and submit to the appropriate financial institutions in a timely manner.
• Generate and maintain salesperson commission reports, including tracking commissions on hold.
• Process new vehicle title work and route used vehicle title work to the Tag & Title Clerk once deals are funded.
• Work collaboratively with management, sales teams, lenders, and coworkers to ensure smooth deal processing.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
• Provide professional and courteous communication with internal and external partners.
• Perform additional duties and support functions as assigned.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional evening or weekend hours may be required based on business needs.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of dealership experience or similar environment.
• 6+ months as dealership biller preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of accounting.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
