Job Description: Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist

Grand Haven, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Haven that are seeking skilled Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, communicating effectively with suppliers.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy of pricing and terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial transactions.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and timely collections.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as applied in a manufacturing context.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts, including intercompany transactions common in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with cost accounting principles relevant to production processes.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and its impact on AP/AR.
