Our client, a highly respected and long-established CPA and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its Assurance team in Lincoln.

The Opportunity
As an Audit Manager, you'll serve as a key leader within the Assurance practice while managing client engagements and developing future leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Engagement Leadership
- Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement deliverables
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements
- Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients
- Develop and maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and business insights
- Identify opportunities to provide additional value and services
- Deliver exceptional client service and responsiveness
Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit professionals
- Review staff work and provide coaching and feedback
- Assist with staff training and professional development
- Foster collaboration and accountability across engagement teams
- Help build the next generation of firm leaders
Technical Excellence
- Research accounting and auditing matters
- Apply GAAP and GAAS guidance to client situations
- Monitor professional standards and regulatory developments
- Maintain high standards of technical quality and engagement execution
- Support firm-wide best practices and quality initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Active CPA license
- 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Experience leading audit engagements
- Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS
- Experience managing client relationships
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Preferred
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff
- Industry experience within nonprofit, government, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, or higher education sectors
- Business development or client growth experience
- Desire to pursue long-term leadership opportunities
