Associate Procurement Specialist - Buyer

Irving Oil • Saint John, NB • Full Time

Posted on Thu, Sep 10, 2026

As a Buyer you will be part of the Purchasing team that falls under Supply Management. The Purchasing team plays a critical role in supporting Irving Oil’s operations across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. This team is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services for nearly all business areas, with the exception of turnaround-related items and long-lead project procurement.

Located on the third floor of the Irving Oil Headquarters in Saint John, the Purchasing team is composed of specialized buyers, each managing their own procurement category. As a student, your role will focus specifically on inventory purchasing, giving you the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your tasks. Rather than supporting a specific buyer, you will contribute directly to the team’s success by managing inventory-related procurement activities, gaining exposure to systems, processes, and supplier interactions that are foundational to a career in supply chain and procurement.
