Job DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Associate Accountant assists in maintaining financial records by using knowledge of accounting methods and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, account analysis, and completion of other processes to ensure the Company's production of accurate and timely financial and regulatory reports and statements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Reconcile/validate invoices, expense, payable, receivable, bank and other accounts.2. Research issues concerning entries, balances, vendors, accruals, chargebacks, etc.3. Submit data for the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.4. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBroad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. A four year college degree is required, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
