POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University’s School of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Located in historic Bethlehem, PA, Moravian University is recognized as the sixth oldest University in the United States. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full-time, non-tenure-track position in the Moravian University School of Business and Economics, with the possibility of future consideration for conversion to a tenure-track appointment based on institutional need, performance, and programmatic priorities.
- Teach undergraduate accounting courses in multiple modalities (on-site, online, hybrid) across multiple degree programs, with a particular focus on managerial accounting, financial accounting, and advanced managerial accounting and analytics.
- Provide substantive academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate students (majors, minors, first-year students, and others).
- Supervise experiential learning or accounting research projects.
- Participate in professional organizations and societies.
- Engage fully in the academic life of the School of Business and Economics, including program development, curriculum innovation, assessment, and participation in school-wide initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) with major or concentration in Accounting.
- A professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or CISA).
