ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manages teams to ensure that risk management, best value pricing, best subcontractor selection, and best practices are implemented in buyout.
- Conducts buyout kickoff meetings and weekly check-ins with project teams and manages the master buyout log.
- Creates and manages project-specific subcontract, short form, and purchase order templates for each project.
- Creates project-specific contract exhibits for each project.
- Reviews and approves every subcontract, short form, and purchase order prior to issuing to the subcontractor or vendor.
- Assists the VP of Support Services with outside legal counsel on subcontract templates, subcontract negotiations, and miscellaneous contract-related matters.
- Coordinates with Preconstruction and Pre-Development teams as needed to support project objectives.
- Demonstrates adherence to EC policies and processes and provides guidance to new team members on EC policies and processes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a construction or engineering related program is preferred, but not required if experience levels are high
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in the construction industry
- Experience with blueprint reading and document interpretation for all design disciplines
- Experience in estimating and/or project management
- Experience with technology required for the role including Microsoft office programs and Procore
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
