- Assist Payroll Manager in verifying approved timecards, pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
- Process Team Member payroll and ensuring accuracy of statements of earnings and deductions.
- Assist Payroll Manager in preparation of any period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
- Provide information to Team Members and Managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and discrepancies in pay issued.
- Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them as needed.
- Compile, verify, and process forms and documentation for administration of company 401K plan.
- Monitor payroll workflows to ensure standardization and consistency.
- Maintain and update weekly payroll to include incentive bonus programs.
- Assists with internal and external payroll audits.
- Review wages reported/computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Prepare manual checks as needed.
- Respond to federal and state agencies regarding wage garnishments and verifications of employment wage statement requests and comply with record keeping requirements.
- General understanding of Kentucky Wage and Hours laws.
- Assist with system implementations, updates, or transitions.
- Support Finance leadership with payroll-related data and tasks as required.
- Assist Payroll Manager with any additional duties assigned.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Payroll processing experience, required.
- Payroll/HRIS software(s) knowledge required. UKG experience, preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
