Description of Job Duty:
The Department of Accounting in the College of Business at Tennessee Technological University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank beginning August 1, 2027.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, maintain an active program of scholarship, and participate in service activities consistent with AACSB accreditation standards. Appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank will be based on qualifications, experience, teaching effectiveness and scholarly accomplishments.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Tennessee Tech emphasizes excellence in teaching and student mentoring. the normal teaching load is three courses (9 credit hours) per semester. Faculty teach undergraduate and graduate courses in classroom, online, and hybrid formats.
Faculty are expected to maintain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications, provide high-quality instruction, mentor students, and contribute service to the department, university, profession, and business community. Summer teaching opportunities may be available based on departmental needs and funding.

Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2027.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution or a school with internationally recognized accreditation.
ABD candidates in advanced stages of dissertation completion will be considered, however, all degree requirements must be completed by August 1, 2027.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service consistent with AACSB accreditation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability or strong potential to teach undergraduate and graduate auditing courses.
Professional accounting experience in public accounting, industry, government, or related settings.
Evidence of effective teaching and student engagement.
Evidence of scholarly productivity and research potential.
Experience teaching in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid environments.
