The Cost Accounting Specialist participates in the preparation, consolidation, analysis, and presentation of Agropur Canada’s periodic financial results. The role supports the development of a comprehensive financial view of Canadian operations. The Cost Accounting Specialist also contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices in accounting and financial analysis.

- Salary range 005: $84 600 to $105 800 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What you will take ownership of on a daily basis:
- Actively participates in period-end close activities, including the preparation, support, and review of periodic, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for a category and department within Agropur Canada.
- Contributes to the development of analytical tools involving multiple databases, automation, optimization, and harmonization of reports.
- Produces various financial reports and performance indicators on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Supports Category Directors in explaining financial results and responding to ad hoc questions.
- Participates in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Contributes to various special projects and prepares ad hoc analyses for management.
The profile that can truly own the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role required.
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, required.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) obtained.
- Strong proficiency with computer tools, including advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing sector (an asset).

Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field required.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required:
Minimum of four (4) years of job-relevant experience required.
Excellent command of French and English, spoken and written, required.
Certification/Licensure Required:
Professional accounting designation C.P.A. obtained.
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of computer tools, including advanced Excel.
