General Job Description:

The position is responsible for providing administrative /financial support for the Central Primary School.

Non-Exempt

Work Schedule:

                Contract Days: 210

                Contract Hours: 8 hours/day

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in approved related fields, formal technical or business school training. Valid drivers license and able to obtain a defensive driving certificate within one year of employment. Experience with a PC, spreadsheet knowledge a must, (Word and Excel). Must have a working knowledge of filing systems and general office management

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling.

Performance Responsibilities:

The bookkeeper is responsible for:

  1. issuing and processing activity and general operations purchase orders.
  2. verifying and submitting invoices for payment.
  3. receipting and depositing all monies.
  4. activity funds ledger and all forms related to this accounting.
  5. processing of money boxes and tickets for athletic and activity events.
  6. ordering buses for activity events.
  7. processing and accounting for activity and instructional trips.
  8. processing and verifying perdiem requests.
  9. processing requests for professional and business leave.
  10. calling substitute teachers and instructing them on a daily basis.
  11. submitting bi-monthly absentee and substitute reports.
  12. perform the duties of the secretary/receptionist when required.
