Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant, Accounting & Finance position work with managers and other staff members to ensure that administrative tasks are completed and that the Bank functions efficiently. Assists with Accounts Payable procedures, wire transfers, reconcilements, and reports.
Essential Functions
- Performs daily wire operations, including inputting, verifying, posting, and recording all wire data.
- Processes foreign items for customers, including sending international checks for collection and ordering in foreign currency.
- Answers phone calls, prepares, and types correspondence.
- Completes daily reconcilements and report reviews.
- Assists with internal and external audits.
- Works closely with department staff to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Performs daily financial transactions, including verifying, posting, and recording accounting operations data.
- Prepares and processes electronic federal tax payments.
- Researches and gathers information for subpoenas and report reviews.
- Acts as the organization's main contact for Accounts Payable.
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Maintains confidentiality of all customer records, accounts, and transactions.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- At least 1 years' experience in accounting, banking, or similar position required.
