Altus, located in Atlanta, GA is looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team! This position requires a hands on working manager approach to managing daily operations while also driving process improvements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise all day-to-day AR activities including invoicing, collections, and cash application
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding customer accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Oversee aging reports, monitor overdue accounts, and work with internal teams to escalate collections when necessary
• Build and document process procedures to standardize AR operations and ensure compliance with company policies
• Centralize AR processes across departments or business units, aligning tools and practices to support scalability
• Lead monthly AR close activities and assist with the preparation of AR-related journal entries and reporting
• Support audits and provide requested documentation for internal or external audit teams
• Monitor team workloads and performance, providing guidance, training, and professional development
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and implementing best practices
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality in all AR-related activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting
• Knowledge and experience with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Accounting or Finance) is a plus
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc.)
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
• Proven track record of managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality
