Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our Sacramento-based client, a nationally growing organization offering a fast-paced environment and strong opportunities for long-term career growth. This is a temporary 2–3 month project. Upon successful completion, this role has the potential to convert into a full-time position. 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for A/R, A/P, Payroll, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of three years of accounts receivable experience including full aging management and reporting. 

• Pay range: $23–$28 per hour DOE
• Schedule: Onsite - Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is current, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies; process adjustments as needed.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable by contacting clients as needed.
• Perform other duties as required to support company needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Proficiency with commonly used accounting ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP; experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
