Accounts Receivable Specialist

Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hr
Position Overview
Key Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a well-established company in the Visalia area. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, posting customer payments, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting the overall accounting department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices.
- Review purchase orders, contracts, pricing, quantities, and billing information for accuracy prior to invoicing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing questions and discrepancies.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances, remittance information, and account reconciliations.
- Process customer deductions, pricing adjustments, credit memos, refunds, and write-offs.
- Apply customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile daily deposits and research payment discrepancies.
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation.
- Cross-train with other accounting team members to provide departmental support.
- Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable or billing experience required.
- Cash application experience is required.
- High-volume billing experience preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems is required; experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows, and 10-key by touch.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidential financial information.
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Frequent computer and keyboard use.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform work in a fast-paced office environment.
