From guiding financial clarity to supporting civic operations, your work will have real impact, every single day.The City of Kaukauna has an opening for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will primarily be responsible for processing and maintaining account receivables for all City functions. This position will be challenged to identify process improvements, reduce unpaid receivables, and participate in project implementations. What You Will Do The full-time Accounting Specialist (AR) will manage and maintain all city account receivables, including actively engaging with customers on outstanding balances, reconciliation to the general ledger, invoicing, posting payments, reporting and developing programs. This position will also assist in issuing of liquor and bartending licenses and the associated processing of payments for licenses, permits, and taxes within the City Clerk’s Office. Additional areas of responsibility will include tracking all City-owned vehicles and titled equipment, responding to inquiries regarding special assessments, ambulance receivables, year-end audit and supporting elections preparations. What You Will Bring The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of four years of relevant experience and will have an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with previous experience using bookkeeping/accounting software. The right person for this position is going to be comfortable with communicating, verbally and written, with internal teams, residents and customers. Being able to prioritize and organize the daily work while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and demonstrating problem solving expertise will add to your success. What You’ll Get This position is an hourly, non-exempt position that will work an average of 37.5 hours per week. The pay range for this position is $27.02-$32.28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees may also qualify for additional benefits, including:
